In April 2018, three families travelled to the North Pole. The Garriott children were three and five; our twins were seven.
We wanted the children to take part, not simply come along. They collected snow and water samples for Dr. Dimitri Deheyn’s lab at Scripps, looking at microfibers and microplastics. We also ran a North Pole marathon.
